Projects

Supporting amateur radio in practice.

EARU supports individual radio amateurs, amateur-radio stations, clubs and technical projects that strengthen experimentation, operating activity and infrastructure across Europe.

Areas of activity

Practical support for independent operators and shared projects.

Amateur radio is built around technically capable individuals who operate, experiment and develop their stations independently. EARU therefore supports both individual radio amateurs and collective activities where cooperation brings additional value.

01

Accessible individual stations

Priority support for radio amateurs with disabilities, long-term health limitations or limited financial means, including those receiving disability pensions. Support may help them build, maintain or adapt an independent amateur-radio station, including equipment, antennas and accessibility-related technical solutions.

02

Operating & contests

Support for active radio operation, contest participation, portable and field activities, expeditions and other operating projects that develop skills and strengthen amateur-radio activity across Europe.

03

Clubs & collective stations

Support for amateur-radio clubs, collective stations, shared facilities and projects where radio amateurs cooperate on technical, educational or operating activities.

04

Infrastructure & experimentation

Support for repeaters, gateways, digital networks, open technology, experimental communication systems and other technical infrastructure benefiting the amateur-radio community.

Project support

From individual initiative to European cooperation.

EARU aims to provide financial, material, technical and organisational support where it can make a meaningful difference. A project does not need to be large or institutional: it may begin with one radio amateur improving a station, developing a new technical solution or preparing for a demanding operating activity.

Support may also be provided to clubs, informal technical teams and organisations working on shared infrastructure, education, experimentation or international cooperation.
